My journey has been shaped by moments of resilience and empowerment, starting with the absence of my father, who served honorably in the military. Tragically, he was killed shortly after returning home on a weekend visit. His sacrifice and dedication to our country inspired me to navigate life's challenges with strength and determination. Through my experiences, I discovered the power of self-discovery and self-love. Today, I am committed to empowering young girls through the Treasures of Hope mentoring program, guiding them on their own paths of growth and resilience. Treasures of hope have impacted. We Fight To Tell Stories Praise Dance Ministry youth in so many ways. Impacting their lives and creating a safe space for them to express their fears, doubts, and setbacks.I have observed our young girls grow confidently. They have defeated the odds that were stacked up against them. Many did not have hope outside of their environment. The mentorship program was a beacon of hope for the youth in our organization. Partnership is key. We could not have done this alone. Connecting with the mentorship program allowed the youth to understand that it takes a positive village to grow and mold them into success. It allowed them to know that there are various trusted individuals they can confide in without judgment. I have seen them grow in their social lives, entrepreneurship, and academics. Some who had never dreamed began envisioning themselves as business owners, doctors, nurses, military soldiers, etc.
